Vacation

 In News

Hello Parents and Caregivers,

We are going to have a very fun last month of summer!

We are looking forward to soaking up the sunshine, exploring the outdoors, learning all about vacation trips, and celebrating during our carnival.

Your family doesn’t have to take a trip to have an adventure this summer. There are many adventures to be had here in New York City. Spend a weekend day at local spraygrounds, the beach, child-friendly museums, or getting treats at a frozen-treat spot.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!

August Theme: Vacation

We’re learning all about vacation this month. We will be exploring packing, modes of transportation, and taking adventures. Our students will be discussing answers to questions like What is vacation and what do we do? Where do we go on vacation, and how do we get there?  What do we do on vacation?

Craft Time

Make a Tissue Paper Lei

Bring a Hawaiian vacation home!

Making a tissue paper lei is easy. Gather colored tissue paper, ribbon or string, and scissors

Cut the tissue paper into pieces about 3 inches wide and 2 inches long.  Twist the middle of the tissue paper and tie it around your ribbon or string. Tie as many tissue paper flowers on your lei as you and your child would like.
